iPrint Business Cards Review 2023 | ChooseWhat.com

iPrint Comparison and Review

iPrint Review

Pros:

  • High quality default card (scored 4 out of 5 stars)
  • Easy to create a card from scratch with their design tool (scored 4 out of 5 stars)
  • Faster shipping options available: Next Day and 1-2 Day
  • Phone, email and live chat customer support available

Cons:

  • PDF proof or hardcopy proof is not available

Conclusion:

iPrint offers fairly good business cards at lower-than-Market Standard pricing. You can quickly and easily create a card design with their online design editor and have it shipped to you in one week or less, depending on the shipping option you select. In addition to standard, they offer linen cards, which is a special material not offered by many other online printing companies. The only disadvantage is that they don’t provide you with a proof of your design before you order, which constitutes proof for your money-back guarantee.

Default Card

We rated iPrint’s default card 4 out of 5 stars. iPrint prints on 2” x 3.5” default card size, 14 point default cardstock, with a glossy default card finish, which all meet our Market Standard. You may also upgrade to a premium matte finish for an additional $14.99 on an order of 250 cards. Even though their default card meets all of our Market Standard criteria, it is not as high quality as some of the other business cards we have reviewed.

Designing Your Card

Uploading Your Own Design

If you have a business card design already created, or you plan to create one, this vendor will let you upload your design, select your options, and print your cards.

Using a Predesigned Template

iPrint’s predesigned templates are of average quality. They provide 10 templates with 35 fonts to choose from when entering your text. Uploading an image or logo to your template is very easy.

Creating a Card from Scratch

We rated iPrint 4 out of 5 stars for creating a card from scratch. Their design editor is very flexible, which makes designing your card easy to do. You may upload an unlimited number of images to your design for free, and uploading them is very easy to do. Drag-and-drop manipulation allows you to position text and images with a simple click of your mouse. The editor can auto-align the text on your card for a consistent look. iPrint design tool also provides cut and bleed lines, so that you can tell where your design will be cut from the paper. Vertical layouts are available in addition to horizontal ones, and they will save your design for future use. The only limitation we found was the lack of a drawing tool that lets you manually add elements to your design.

Designing the card below took us about 15 minutes. This card editor will not let you draw or add lines on the card, so we had to use a border image they provided instead. Resizing the logo was fairly easy, but you are not able to click and drag the image to enlarge it. You must select the image and click the plus sign in the menu to enlarge it. The font we selected was not exactly the same as on our existing card, but it still looked professional.

Options & Upgrades

iPrint can print flat or raised text (which offers an embossed look), depending on your preference. Both 12 and 14 point card stock are available to choose from. iPrint provides both matte and glossy card finishes. iPrint can print your design on linen cards, instead of regular paper, which is special and not offered by many of the other companies we’ve reviewed.

Shipping & Delivery

iPrint’s standard shipping time takes 7 to 10 days, which can be longer than our Market Standard of one week and costs $3.99 to ship 250 cards to Austin, Texas. Next Day and 1-2 Day shipping are also available, and the cost depends on your location.

Customer Support

Phone Support is available Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST. Email and live chat support are also available.  We found customer support representatives to be very helpful and knowledgeable. We experienced no wait time on the phone and half an hour to two hours through email.

Pricing

iPrint charges $9.90 for an order of 250 cards. This is equal to 4 cents per card, which meets our Market Standard for per card pricing. iPrint offers many other order sizes, ranging from 100 cards up to 5,000. Price per card generally decreases as you increase order size. iPrint also offers a money-back guarantee if a mistake on the order is their fault.
