Conclusion:

GreatFX offers high quality cards and special card options at a fair, nearly Market Standard price. GreatFX has one of the most user-friendly design editors we’ve reviewed, which lets you create and customize your card easily. GreatFX also offers special options, such as recycled paper, raised print (with an embossed feel), rounded corners, and fold-over cards. They also offer fast standard shipping time and faster shipping options for an extra fee.

Default Card

We rated GreatFX’s default card 4 out of 5 stars. Their 14 point default card stock meets our Market Standard, as does their 2”x 3.5” default card size. They offer a glossy default finish. To upgrade to a matte finish (16 point), it would cost $35 for 250 cards. They also offer a recycled paper option. Even though their default card meets all of our Market Standard criteria, it is not as high quality as some of the other business cards we have reviewed.

Designing Your Card

Uploading Your Own Design

If you have a business card design already created, or you plan to create one, this vendor will let you upload your design, select your options, and print your cards for an additional $2.00 for an order of 250 cards. This additional charge to upload your own design is not standard among business card printing services.

Using a Predesigned Template

GreatFX offers average quality predesigned templates. They have 1,000 templates and 20 fonts to choose from. You can upload an image or logo to their templates.

Creating a Card from Scratch

We rated GreatFX 5 out of 5 stars for creating a card from scratch. Their design editor is very flexible, which makes designing your card easy to do. You can upload an unlimited number of images per order for free, and uploading your images is very easy to do. They have both drag-and-drop and auto-align text features that make the card creating process as easy as possible. They also have a tool that shows you cut and bleed lines, which help with the placement of your design, and you can manually draw on the card. Additionally, they give you the option of saving your design for future use.

In order to see how easy it was to create a card from scratch using GreatFX’s design tool, we attempted to replicate a simple business card we already had. We found this easy to do and encountered no real limitations that made the process difficult.

Options & Upgrades

GreatFX offers traditional, flat print cards, as well as cards with raised print. They offer 14 and 16 point card stock with either a matte and glossy finish. In addition to the standard card sizes, they offer cards with rounded corners and fold-over cards.

Shipping & Delivery

GreatFX’s standard shipping time is 3-5 business days, which is faster than our Market Standard of one week, and it costs $9.39 to ship to any location in the U.S. They also offer Next Day shipping, 1-2 Day and 3-Day shipping. The prices for these other shipping options vary with location.

GreatFX offers email support, which we found to be very helpful. We got fast, extensive responses directly from the owner of the company. Wait times can take up to one business day, which meets our Market standard of 24-hour response.

Pricing

GreatFX offers 250 cards for $29.60, which comes out to 12 cents per card and meets our Market Standard price. It costs an additional $2.63 to print on the back side of 250 cards (fee varies with order size). Their other order sizes range from 100 cards to 100,000 cards. They offer a money-back guarantee in the event that they make a mistake on your order.
