Conclusion:

Zazzle is one of the only companies we’ve reviewed with free double-sided printing and free shipping. They also offer a wide variety of fonts and high quality predesigned templates that you can use to create your business cards. The only major downside is that they won't let you upload any designs or artwork that you've already created to be printed. They also do not offer a proof of your design that you can check and approve before your place your order. They offer standard quality paper business cards, and their design tool is relatively easy to use. Although their business cards cost more than the market average, their free shipping and free double-sided printing makes up for the cost.

Default Card

We rated Zazzle's default card 3 out of 5 stars. The default card stock of 13.5 point is slightly thinner than our Market Standard of 14 point. Zazzle offers a matte finish for their business cards, and there is no option to upgrade to glossy, or any other paper finish. The default card size is equivalent to our Market Standard of 2" x 3.5", which is the standard size for American business cards.

If you have a business card design already created, or you plan to create one, Zazzle will not let you upload your design, select your options, and print your cards.

Using a Predesigned Template

Zazzle's predesigned templates are high quality with professional graphic designs. The service has 400,000+ templates and 308 fonts from which to choose. You can even upload your own logo to their predesigned templates if you would like.

Creating a Card from Scratch

We rated Zazzle 3 out of 5 stars for creating a card from scratch. While they had very easy-to-use card design tool and image uploader, their tool did not show cut and bleed lines, and there was no way to auto-align text or manually draw lines or shapes on the card. Zazzle does let you upload an unlimited number of images per card design for free, which is above and beyond what most business card services offer. The card creator has a drag-and-drop feature and vertical templates, and they let you save your design for future use.

In order to see how easy it was to create a card from scratch using Zazzle's design tool, we attempted to replicate a simple business card we already had. It was very easy to recreate our existing business cards with their tool, but because we were unable to draw on the card we could not replicate it exactly.

Options & Upgrades

Zazzle offers only traditional, flat print business cards with either 12-point or 13.5 point thickness and a matte finish. Other business cards materials offered are magnetic and linen cards. They also offer "skinny" business cards, which measure 3" x 1". Each card order, no matter the size, comes in packs of 100 cards, and you can get a different design on each pack if you choose.

Shipping & Delivery

The standard shipping time of cards from Zazzle is 4-7 business days, which is right around our Market Standard of one week. Standard shipping costs $7.95 for 200 cards. They have expedited shipping options of 1-day for $16.99 and 2-day for $12.99. They also have a free shipping option as part of a 30-day free trial membership to their site.

Customer Support

Zazzle offers phone support Monday through Friday from 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. PST, as well as email support from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. They have excellent customer service that was very helpful and very quick in responding to our inquiries. Reps at Zazzle even sent us links through email with additional information that helped answer our questions more fully.

Pricing

The price for 200 business cards from Zazzle is $26.78, which comes out to a little over 13 cents per card. This is much higher than our Market Standard of 8 cents per card, but they do include double-sided printing in this price, so you're really only paying 6.5 cents per side. The card order sizes range from 100-50,000 (500 packs of 100). Zazzle has a money-back guarantee, which is valid only when the error was their fault, which is how most business card guarantees work.
