Conclusion:

Prinly is an excellent choice for online business cards, as they offer high quality cards at a low cost. Prinly is a relatively new online printing service that we were quite impressed with for several reasons. They offer the thickest card stock on the market with their default card and a choice of matte or glossy finish. Their card design editor was very easy to use, and they provide more than 2,000 design templates from which you can choose a design. Prinly offers special card options that include rounded corners, linen cards and magnetic cards. The only disadvantage we found is that they have a longer than average turnaround time of 10-12 business days, but if you use the discount code "choosewhat" you'll be eligible to receive your cards in 3-7 days even when you select the 10-12 day shipping option.

Default Card

We rated Prinly’s default card 5 out of 5 stars. Their default card stock is 16 point, which is much thicker than our Market Standard of 14 point card stock. These cards also have a glossy default finish, but if you prefer a matte finish it will cost $2.50 extra (for 250 cards). Prinly’s default card, which has a card size of 2"x 3.5", meets our Market Standard for card size.

Using a Predesigned Template

This vendor has average quality templates with stock images and themed backgrounds. They have over 2,000 templates but have only three fonts for you to choose from. Prinly also allows you to upload your logo or images to their predesigned templates.

Creating a Card from Scratch

We rated Prinly 5 out of 5 stars for creating a card from scratch. It is very easy to create a card using their blank template and also easy to upload images to the card, which is free to do. You can add up to four different images to your card design. Their card creator also has drag-and-drop text and image manipulation that makes it incredibly easy to place your design elements wherever you’d like around the card. This design editor will auto-align text and image fields, so you can be sure that your text and images are perfectly aligned. The design editor also shows cut lines that will let you know if text or images lie outside the card’s boundary. In addition to horizontal templates, Prinly also offers vertical templates and allows you to save your design for future use. The only feature Prinly’s card creator does not have is the ability to draw directly on the card design.

In order to see how easy it was to create a card from scratch with Prinly, we tried to replicate the design of business cards we already had. This process took only 15 minutes to complete. Moving all text fields at once was really easy to do. We found Prinly’s alignment options to be outstanding. Overall, this was an excellent self-design tool.

Prinly offers traditional, flat print cards that you can create yourself as well as professionally designed cards for an additional $74.99. Card stocks offered are 14 and 16 point in either a glossy or matte finish. They also offer cards with rounded corners, linen cards, and magnetic cards for a premium price.

Shipping & Delivery

The standard shipping time is 10-12 days, which costs $6.99 to ship to our location in Austin, Texas (shipping cost may change depending on your location). This shipping time is slower than our Market Standard of one business week. Prinly does, however, offer a faster shipping time of 1-3 days, which costs $13.19 to ship to our location.

Customer Support

Prinly has phone support from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. EST with no wait times. They also have email support that takes anywhere from ten minutes to four hours to receive a response, depending on the difficulty of the questions asked. Their website offers online chat support that never seems to be available. This pop-up box (for now at least) is just another way to get you to email their support team. Overall, we found Prinly’s support to be very helpful and timely when answering our questions about their service.

Pricing

The price for 250 self-designed cards from Prinly is normally $21.99, but if you use our coupon code "choosewhat" while filling out your order size, you'll get 30% off your entire order, which brings the price down to $15.39. This comes out to about 6 cents per card, which is less expensive than our Market Standard of 8 cents per card. It costs an additional $7 to print on the back side of 250 cards with our coupon code. The card order sizes range from 100 cards to 25,000 cards. Prinly offers a money-back guarantee, applicable only when the mistake was their fault, which is how most business card guarantees work.
