iPrint Conclusion
iPrint offers fast business cards at a Market Standard price. They offer more than 500 templates and a WYSIWYG editor to help you create your business cards online, but the quality of their cards is on the lower end. iPrint’s default card stock and finish are average, but they offer a variety of upgrades and options for you to select.
Designing Your Card
iPrint offers 550+ pre-designed templates to help you create your business cards. The cards are standard quality, which means that they feature stock photos and/or clip art. iPrint will allow you to upload your logo/custom image to your business cards for free; however iPrint charges $5.99 to $49.99, depending on your order size, to print on the back side of your card. Most business card printing companies offer backside printing for free. One advantage of ordering from iPrint is that an actual person will proof your card design before it is printed.
We rated iPrint’s Design Tool 3 out of 5 stars. iPrint offers a WYSIWYG editor that features advanced alignment tools and movement options to help you design your business card. You are able to view grid lines on the card to help you align pictures and text precisely, as well as snap text to the grid lines. However, you cannot view cut and trim lines to help you place your design in the correct area, and you cannot lock text or images in place so that you don’t accidentally move them. You are able to drag and drop text and images.
Card Quality
We rated iPrint’s Card Quality 2 out of 5 stars. According to our test, the card was not very sturdy and did not hold its shape when bent. Also, the card tended to crease easily. However, it was relatively easy to write on the card.
Cardstock, Finishes & Upgrades
iPrint’s default card stock is 14 point, which is thicker than the standard 12 point thickness. iPrint’s default card finish is matte, although they do offer glossy finish as well. You can choose to upgrade your card stock/finish to Premium Matte or Super Premium Matte paper for an additional cost. You can also upgrade to Spot UV, which means that you are able to choose a spot (or spots) on your card where they will put a special coating (i.e. some areas on the card will appear glossy). In addition to paper business cards, iPrint also offers Post-It notes, stamps, letterheads and labels.
Pricing & Turnaround TIme
The price per card for iPrint cards is 12 cents, which falls in our Market Standard pricing for online business cards. You can get 250 cards for a total price of $29.99. We paid an additional $7.77 for shipping with the lowest cost shipping option available. As with most business card printing companies, the more cards you buy from iPrint, the more money you’ll save. The turnaround time for our cards was 11 days, which falls within our Market Standard time of eight to 12 days.
